Pak’Cafan Member Ranks

Rank 1 – Inner Council

Pak’Cafan’s Inner Council (IC) consist of the 8 founding members, a few additions throughout the years, and some Shard Leaders, both past and present. These members are identifiable on the forums by their names in red. Over the course of their tenure, they have consistently shown traits of leadership, self-sacrifice, and dedication and are selected by the Inner Council members. From a working shard perspective, an IC member is at the same level as an officer and works within the structure of that leadership team.

Inner Council members provide key leadership positions in a new start-up shard along with officers of previous shards. This gives us an opportunity to establish ourselves and then select the right people over time to put in to the long-term leadership team.

Though you may not see an Inner Council Member in game, their spirit remains strong while they handle the guild dynamics Around the Campfire.

Prerequisites
– This is a Pak’Cafan Guild Wide Member Specific Rank. – This rank stays with them regardless of the game they play.
– Usually, have held Officer and/or Guild Leader positions in more than one Pak’Cafan shards.
– Dedicates a large portion of their time to the guild by participation in and out of game.
– Voted in by other members of the inner council.

Rank 2 – Den Alpha (Guild Leader)

Much of the in-game functionality of the guild is held within this rank. It would be impossible to give a full description of the duties involved here. The Den Alpha holds many roles, but the most important is that of promoting the growth and success of the guild as a whole. This is accomplished by means of direct in-game leadership, knowing when to step back and take a more advisory role, and working with a Leadership Team to ensure all of the needs of the guild are met.

Expectations
Ultimately, The Den Alpha is responsible for every action taken by anyone who wears the Pak’Cafan tag. In light of that, know that he/she puts Honor and Truth over most things. The Den Alpha will NEVER dishonor the Pak’Cafan name. He/She takes pride in our members and supports them in every way possible; for in the end, they support him/her.

Benefits
The Guild leader has access to all privileges within the game system. This rank is the only one that can access and change guild settings, including ranks and vault access. The Den Alpha is also an admin for that particular game forums, and can modify group permissions so that our members can see the correct forums. The Den Alpha is also an admin in TeamSpeak and can modify member permissions, add new channels, and police the server by kicking or banning if need be.

Prerequisites
Den Alpha’s are chosen by the guild’s Inner Council. Pak’Cafan’s Inner Council consists of the original eight founding members, a few additions throughout the years, and some Shard Leaders, both past and present.

Rank 3 – Pak Guardian (Guild Officer)

The Pak Guardian’s are the eyes and ears of the Guild when the Den Alpha is not present.  They protect the guild reputation, collaborate amongst the Pak brotherhood, and enforce the code-of-honor that is our way of life.

These are members that go above and beyond the call of duty. They have shown themselves to hold the ideals of Pak’Cafan in the highest regard and practice these ideals without making a conscious effort. Pak’Cafan Officers are committed to the continued growth and improvement of the guild. They can be considered the point of contact for any and all issues surrounding the guild. Becoming an Officer doesn’t necessarily mean that they have to go through all the listed ranks, but they must prove themselves as a leader and a mentor.

Without fail, Officers understand what Pak is; they fit in so well with our family and our ideals that they live and breathe Pak. They are courteous, friendly, and generally well-known and respected within the guild. When someone requests assistance, be it with information or action, officers are often those who first answer or who give more in-depth responses. In situations that demand it, their use of tact is superb.

Expectations
– Message board participation is mandatory for solid communication during planning or dealing with any issues that may arise. All officers have access to a private officer section on the Pak’Cafan Forums.
– Officers are expected to monitor members to ensure our high standards and virtues are being maintained and take action where needed. If you see a Pak’Cafan Officer know that they represent all of what Pak stands for
– Officers MUST remain active in game AND on the boards assisting the needs of the Guild Leader. Each officer will have set duties that must be performed or maintained to keep the rank
– Dedicates a large portion of their time to the guild by participation in and out of game.
– Guild message board and TeamSpeak use is required at this rank.

Rank 8 – Cub

Welcome to Pak’Cafan! As a new trial member of Pak’Cafan, you have achieved the rank of “Cub”.  The “Cub Status” is a probationary period for that is evaluated on the Full Moon (30-days).

This probation period allows us to see how you fit with us and for you to see if you like the family that we have built here. This is a great time to introduce yourself to the guild, both in game and on our message boards; tell us what you can do for the betterment of the guild. Communication in guild chat is strongly encouraged as it will likely increase your chances of becoming a Pak Hunter!

If during your probation period you violate any of our guild policies you will be held accountable. The consequence of your violation will be decided by the Guild Leader and Officers. What happens depends on the severity of the violation, and can include being removed from the guild.

There is no maximum time frame that you can remain in this rank; however, if you haven’t been promoted at the 1 month mark you are encouraged to speak with an Officer or Recruiter regarding your status. In addition to this probationary time period, please note that you may be removed for any reason deemed sufficient by guild leadership — and you yourself may remove yourself for any or no reason at all.

We reserve the right to promote earlier than the normal period on a case-by-case basis. Request for early promotion must come through the Guild Leadership and be discussed.

All new Cub’s will NOT display their <Pak’Cafan> tags until they have achieved Full Member Status (Pak Hunter).  This is protect the guild reputation in the event that an applicant breaks policy (i.e. training, swearing in general chat, loot stealing, etc).
